A ROS2 robot car for learning mapping, navigation and computer vision on a Raspberry Pi 5. The aluminium chassis has four mecanum wheels driven by encoder motors, so it can move sideways and rotate on the spot. A 360° LiDAR provides the scan data for SLAM and path planning, and a 2-axis pan-tilt camera is used for colour, line and object tracking. Hiwonder supplies ROS2 Humble on Ubuntu 22.04 (in Docker) with Python examples and courses. This is the Starter kit without a Raspberry Pi 5; you add your own Pi 5.
