- Real-time clock built on the DS3234, which has an integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillator and a temperature sensor
- Uses a 4-wire SPI interface (not I2C)
- Counts seconds through year with leap-year compensation up to 2099
- Includes 256 bytes of battery-backed SRAM
- Two programmable alarms plus square-wave and 32.768 kHz outputs
- All DS3234 pins are broken out and the board is breadboard compatible
- Built-in CR2032 battery holder; the battery itself is not included
