The Camera Module 2 is the affordable, fixed-focus 8-megapixel camera that has been the standard Raspberry Pi camera since 2016. It is still the lowest-cost official way to add a camera to a Raspberry Pi, and it works with every model that has a CSI camera connector: Raspberry Pi 1 through 5, Zero (with adapter cable) and Compute Modules.

Standard has an infrared-cut filter for natural colour in daylight and indoor lighting. NoIR has no IR filter, so it can see infrared light and works with IR illuminators for night-vision projects; colours in daylight look washed out, which is expected.
