The Pololu Motoron M3S256 is an Arduino shield that controls up to three brushed DC motors over I2C, so it needs no PWM pins or timers on the Arduino. Several units can be stacked to control more motors – six or nine motors from one UNO. This kit version includes header and terminal block options that the user solders in.
