The Waveshare 8DP-CAPLCD is an 8-inch 1280×800 IPS display with 10-point capacitive touch behind an optically bonded toughened glass panel. It takes HDMI video and uses a single USB Type-C port for touch and 5 V power, working driver-free with Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano and Windows PCs. A separate button board gives an on-screen menu for brightness and contrast, and HDMI audio is available through a 3.5 mm jack or speaker header. The sharpest 8-inch panel in the range – a proper small monitor for a Pi 5 or a Home Assistant wall panel.
