The AI HAT+ 2 is the first Raspberry Pi accelerator built for generative AI. Where the original AI HAT+ handles computer vision, the AI HAT+ 2 adds a Hailo-10H accelerator with 8 GB of its own on-board RAM, so it can run large language models and vision-language models locally on a Raspberry Pi 5, offline, with the Pi's own CPU and memory left free for everything else. For vision workloads such as YOLO object detection, pose estimation and segmentation it performs on a par with the 26 TOPS AI HAT+.

It sits on the Raspberry Pi 5's PCIe connector like the other HAT+ boards; an up-to-date Raspberry Pi OS detects it automatically and rpicam-apps use it for camera post-processing out of the box. Hailo supplies ready-made sample models, and custom vision models can be compiled with the Hailo Dataflow Compiler; language models support LoRA fine-tuning.

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, no reason needed. Start a return or cancel an order from your account at account.gadwave.com. Return the item within 14 days of telling us. You pay the return postage to us in Kalmar, and we refund the item plus standard delivery within 14 days.

As a consumer you have a three-year right to complain about faults under Swedish consumer law. If something arrives broken or faulty, email gadwave@arnvak.com with your order number and photos, and we will replace it or refund you.
